Who we are...
GlobalData is an information services business on a mission to help our clients decode the future, make informed decisions, and have the data and tools to inform policy. Using our unique data, expert analysis, and innovative solutions, we create trusted intelligence on the world's largest industries for thousands of companies, government organizations, and industry professionals in one fully integrated platform.
GlobalData's Life Sciences vertical delivers comprehensive and timely intelligence to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare organizations. Our consultants help clients identify new opportunities, support market access and pricing & reimbursement strategy, and inform policy and budget analysis through tailored solutions that leverage GlobalData's proprietary databases, simulation models, and analytical capabilities.
The role…
The Consultant/Senior Consultant will join GlobalData's Health Economics team, part of our broader Healthcare Intelligence practice. The team conducts health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) that evaluates the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of medical treatments and health interventions — evidence used by pharmaceutical and device companies, payers, and patient advocacy groups to inform coverage, reimbursement, and formulary decisions. Work spans burden-of-illness studies, budget impact models, cost-effectiveness analyses, and treatment access value assessments, including a current flagship project modeling how expanded access to GLP-1/obesity treatments affects downstream disease burden and healthcare service demand. The level of hire — Consultant or Senior Consultant — will be determined based on the candidate's experience and demonstrated capabilities.
What you’ll be doing...
Project Execution
- Build and maintain health economic models — including budget impact models, cost-effectiveness analyses, burden-of-illness studies, and treatment access value assessments — that quantify the clinical and economic consequences of disease and the value of expanded treatment access.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to support client deliverables, applying sound statistical and economic methods.
- Translate technical analyses into clear findings and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences, including client presentations and written reports.
- Identify and structure project-related issues, working with senior team members to develop deliverables that meet client objectives and timelines.
- Apply quantitative and data analytics skills to model development, data preparation, and interpretation.
- Use R or similar tools to build, automate, and refine analytical models (R proficiency preferred).
- Ensure methodological rigor and quality across analytical work.
Client Engagement and Business Development
- Support client relationships by contributing to proposals, scoping discussions, and ongoing project communication.
- Maintain awareness of client needs and the competitive landscape to help identify new business opportunities.
- Take on client-facing communication and mentor junior staff as experience grows.
Thought Leadership
- Stay current on developments in health economics, healthcare policy, and pharmaceutical markets.
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through peer-reviewed journal publications, white papers, presentations, and conference participation.
