About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Global Data Media division in Hyderabad. This role focuses on building scalable data platforms, enabling analytics, and supporting data-driven product capabilities.

You will work with large and complex datasets, designing and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures. In addition, you will contribute to enabling AI and machine learning use cases by building reliable, high-quality data foundations.

This is primarily an individual contributor role with ownership of architecture and implementation, and a clear path toward future technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks across batch and real-time processing
  • Own and evolve data architecture to support analytics, reporting, and product use cases
  • Manage and process large-scale datasets from multiple sources
  • Partner with data scientists and analysts to enable advanced analytics and AI use cases
  • Build and maintain data models that support both internal reporting and product features
  • Support integration of machine learning and AI workflows through well-structured and accessible data
  • Collaborate with full-stack engineering teams to support data-driven applications
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the platform

Tech Stack

  • Cloud: AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Data Processing: Batch and real-time pipelines
  • Languages: Python and SQL including numpy, pandas, matplotlib and other analytics libraries
  • Data Platforms: Modern data warehousing and lake architectures
  • The ideal candidate should possess demonstrated experience in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines.
  • Frontend Collaboration: Integration with application and API layers
  • AI Enablement: Data infrastructure supporting machine learning and AI workflows

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in data engineering or related roles
  • Strong experience building and maintaining data pipelines in cloud environments
  • Proven ability to design scalable data architectures
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets
  • Strong programming skills in Python and solid SQL expertise
  • Experience supporting analytics and reporting use cases
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with data, product, and engineering teams
  • Experience enabling or supporting machine learning and AI workflows
  • Ability to take ownership of both architecture and implementation

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data-driven or digital product environments
  • Background in SaaS or platform-based businesses
  • Familiarity with real-time or streaming data architectures
  • Experience with modern data tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Spark
  • Exposure to data infrastructure supporting AI or Generative AI applications
  • Experience in large-scale or enterprise data environments
