About the Role
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our GlobalData Media division in Hyderabad. This role focuses on developing scalable analytical solutions, supporting reporting, and contributing to data-driven product capabilities.
You will work with large and complex datasets to build models, define metrics, and generate insights that support both internal stakeholders and customer-facing applications. The role also includes applying modern AI techniques to enhance data products and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scoring methodologies and analytical frameworks
- Design and implement predictive and statistical models to support business and product use cases
- Apply machine learning and AI techniques to extract insights from large datasets
- Explore and implement Generative AI use cases such as automated insights and natural language interaction with data
- Work with unified datasets across multiple data sources
- Partner with data engineering to ensure reliable and well-structured data pipelines
- Support reporting and dashboarding requirements for internal and external stakeholders
- Translate data into clear insights and recommendations for cross-functional teams
- Contribute to experimentation, measurement, and continuous improvement of data products
Tech Stack
- Cloud: AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Languages: Python and SQL
- Data: Large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
- BI Tools: Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight or similar
- AI and ML: Common machine learning libraries and frameworks
- Generative AI: Exposure to LLM-based applications or related tools
Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field
- Experience building scoring models, segmentation, or predictive analytics solutions
- Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques
- Exposure to or experience with Generative AI or LLM-based applications
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Solid understanding of statistics and data analysis
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience in data-driven or digital product environments
- Background in SaaS or platform-based businesses
- Familiarity with unified or multi-source data models
- Experience with experimentation or A/B testing
- Exposure to deploying models into production environments
- Familiarity with tools used for integrating or operationalising AI models
