The role...

The GlobalData Technology team is seeking a Senior Analyst to help track the development of the global consumer device service ecosystem, as it pertains to AI, eSIM connectivity, device components and component supply chain dynamics, partnerships and finance. The role can be either remote or located in one of GlobalData’s office locations in London or New York.

A passion for the consumer devices and device ecosystem market is essential, with prior research analysis experience in this sector desirable. We work with many of the world’s leading device manufacturers, telcos and mobile ecosystem vendors to help them maximize success by developing a thorough understanding of the sector and its likely future performance.

What you’ll be doing...

Develop consumer device ecosystem expertise, across a wide array of relevant topics, from AI development to partnerships, channel development, commerce and value-added services.

  • Working as part of a team, undertake primary quantitative and qualitative research, and produce high quality and accurate analysis
  • Contribute to research reports and intelligence deliverables for clients
  • Contribute to consulting deliverables within a relevant field
  • Develop thought leadership and provide insight and analysis to journalists

What we’re looking for…

We are looking for candidates with up to five years of professional experience, ideally in within the consumer device and service ecosystem.

  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience, with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze key issues, risks, and trends within the consumer device ecosystem
  • Understanding of macroeconomic factors, demographic trends, and consumer behavior, and how these may impact the market
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with good organizational and time-management abilities
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in identifying growth opportunities for clients
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
