Senior Consultant – Consulting Delivery (Technology)

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project Delivery:
    • Primarily deliver consulting engagements, translating GlobalData research and analysis into clear, decision-oriented insights for clients.
    • Lead the execution of multiple workstreams, including timelines, dependencies, and risks, ensuring high-quality outputs.
    • Support the Engagement Manager in structuring project plans, milestones, and delivery schedules.
    • Ensure workstreams are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
    • Review outputs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity and clear linkage between analysis and client objectives before client delivery.
    • Apply structured consulting frameworks and judgement to translate qualitative and quantitative inputs into coherent, client-relevant implications, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.        
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Support Consulting Directors and Engagement Manager in maintaining client satisfaction through reliable, value-added delivery and regular client communication.
    • Engage directly with clients to present insights, project findings, respond to questions, and refine outputs based on feedback, clearly articulating implications, conclusions, and recommendations.
    • Ensure deliverables clearly articulate what findings mean for client priorities, rather than remaining purely descriptive.
    • Contribute to the development of client-ready materials that support decision-making.
  • Strategic Development:
    • Support the Engagement Manager and Consulting Directors in developing consulting solutions and engagement approaches.
    • Leverage the skill sets of the consulting team and the assets of the company to create innovative solutions and new business opportunities.
    • Support the Consulting Directors with client and business development work.
    • Apply consulting judgement and frameworks to shape structured, decision-oriented client narratives.
    • Contribute to the development of recommendations aligned to client strategic priorities.
  • Team Management and Development:
    • Support in the development of a dedicated consulting team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
    • Provide guidance and coaching to Consultants, supporting development of consulting delivery skills, structured thinking, and quality standards.
    • Foster collaboration across consulting, research, and sales teams.
    • Collaborate strongly with colleagues in various roles, including sales, research and analysis, and customer success.
    • Contribute to building a high-performing consulting team culture.
  • Thought Leadership:
    • Contribute to the development and dissemination of thought leadership materials, including white papers, articles, client-facing insights, and presentations, to position GlobalData as a leader in the Technology sector.
    • Support representation of GlobalData at client meetings, webinars, or industry events as required.
  • Innovation and Improvement:
    • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve consulting methodologies, tools, and processes.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to ensure GlobalData remains at the forefront of market research and consulting.

  • Deliverable Preparation: Ability to write and create compelling, error-free client deliverables that synthesize insight in an audience-aware format.
  • Technical Skills: Very strong skills related to data analysis and modeling, market sizing, competitive analysis, benchmarking and primary research, and other relevant analytic frameworks.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Enterprise Software, Technology or Telco sectors obtained through either working in the industry or in a consultancy.
  • Management Experience: Extensive project management experience and experience managing a small team within a client support role, demonstrating ability to manage projects to deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear and confident presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Client Management: Experience working closely with and managing internal and/or external clients, and in preparing and conducting presentations to Senior Management.
  • Experience: Typically 4–7 years’ experience in consulting, strategy, or research-led consulting environments.
