The role…
Our Competitive Intelligence Pharma business require a highly skilled automation developer to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess an advanced level of proficiency in both Excel, VBA and Python programming, with a strong ability to automate tasks and streamline processes.
What you’ll be doing…
- Develop, maintain and troubleshoot complex Excel/VBA models or Python applications, spreadsheets, and templates to support various business functions.
- Design and implement advanced VBA macros and scripts or Python code to automate repetitive tasks, enhance data analysis, and improve workflow efficiency with good documentation Collaborate with stakeholders and other IT professional and departments to provide technical expertise in designing solutions using Excel and VBA or Python.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Excel/VBA or Python functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in Excel and VBA/ Python technology and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new features or techniques to improve processes.
- Document technical specifications, guidelines, and procedures for Excel/VBA/Python solutions to ensure maintainability and scalability.
- Collaborative and team-focused attitude.
- Demonstrate basic understanding and enthusiasm about the healthcare industry
- Be willing to deepen knowledge of the healthcare industry and disease portfolios
- Be willing to attend conferences and contribute to deliverables where required beyond the automation and tool maintenance responsibilities
What we’re looking for…
Education and Experience:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in advanced Excel development, including proficiency in complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and spreadsheet design principles.
- Strong proficiency in VBA programming, with demonstrable experience in developing macros, user-defined functions, and custom applications for Excel.
- Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, openpyxl), automation scripting and interacting with third party APIs for data retrieval and integration
- Experience with Snowflake database operations, including SQL query development, data extraction, and integration with Python and Excel workflows
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be willing to guide, help and train other members within the team.
Problem Solving Skills:
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task at the same time and deliver results without compromise of quality or time
- Excellent logical ability, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in dealing with large volumes of data

- Should be keen to expand skill sets and learn about business, markets, and industries
- Willingness to take up additional responsibilities
- Self-driven with a keen eye to enhance data quality and processes.

- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
